Just to clarify: you are saying that the UEG design WILL work in dotcom
format just that it can't really be changed, right? I'm assuming that since
the design works for MOTM (big knobs) then it will work for dotcom (big
knobs)... sorry if I'm being slow here. Just loooked at the photo here:
http://www.encoreelectronics.com/cont_ueg1.html
and it looks fine. Why would we want to change it?

Rafael

PS - Why does everyone keep calling it EUG? European Union of Geoscience?

We absolutely plan to do more dot com panels in the next run. What
we do will be based 100% on which panels are requested. We would be
happy to do the EUG in dot com format. The thing you have to
remember about the UEG is that you cannot easily convert it to big
knobs and such. All the pots and switches are PCB board mounted.
So, the only difference netween dot com format and the exisint UEG
MOTM format would be the actual panel, font and tick mark styles.
The layout cannot change.

Right. Tha layout cannot be changed.

What may not be obvious to you in the photos is that these are NOT
big knobs. Look at the knobs and spacing in relation to the size of
the panel. MOTM and dot com both use a round knob with a diameter of
1". The knobs on the UEG are only 3/4 in diameter."

Universal Event Generator is the name of the module given to it by
Encore.

It shows you how much can be squeezed into a MOTM panel if you are willing
to ignore the UI guidelines.

Is Encore using 16mm pots?
