Modcan 4075 filter

Modcan 4075 filter

2006-09-25 by Dana Countryman

Hi!

I just wanted to jump on in here, and praise Modcan's 4075 filter,
which I am now using in my Dotcom system.

It seemed like it took about 4 months to get my order filled, but
eventually the package from Canada came. I fired it up, and at first
I wasn't sure this filter could do anything my collection of filters
couldn't do. I think I have 6 different filters right now.

A second try at the filter proved that this one was indeed a winner!
Not only does it have lots of great "Moog'y" personality, but also
has THREE separate CV inputs, as well as multiple signal inputs.
Having 2 (or more) EGs contolling this puppy gives a lot more
interesting sounds, and I'm getting sounds of this that I never heard
before!

Just wanted to let you know that this is a keeper!

Yves makes me jealous with his beautiful panel work! Plus, the guy
can design his own modules. Wow.

It's great that Bruce is making "MOTM"-style modules, but too bad
they're not in black.... Waah....

Just tell Bruce what kind of connector you need, and he'll include
it. I also have the MOTM distro board --- worked great!

Hey Thanks for that info Dana, I too have been looking
at this and am considering getting one myself... plus
I have seen Yves's Site and his .com version as
well... man I wish we had someone in the panel
business again... I am awaiting one of Bruce's 55B
Quantizers... that thing looks awesome and has all the
capabilities I want in a Quantizer... I can't remember
who suggested Modcan to me, but I am glad I took a
serious look at his product line...

a quick question to you... "how" are you powering the
module? I have the MOTM-995 power distro board as
Bruce said his runs the same as Paul's bit looking at
the modules in photo's they appear to only have 3-pins
on the connector... vs. 4 any help would be greatly
appreciated...

Thanks, Markk
