Howdy

I just found out about this group from Larry Hendry. There was a
thread in the cgs_synth group about silkscreening DotCom panels for
CGS modules. I've done several of them as well as DotCom panels for
Oakley, Blacet and Tellun modules. I've got pictures of some of them at
http://www.guitarfool.com/Silkscreen.html (or just go to
www.guitarfool.com and wander around). I am finally comfortable enough
to do extra panels for people who want them, but I'm not planning on
doing any "custom" panels (ie; panels for modules that I don't want
myself). I'll give details when I get aound to taking pictures of all
the ones I've done (and the ones that I'm currently working on). Price
will probably be $15 for single width, $20 for double width. Will
accept barter of blank panels and knobs!

Jay - did you find anyone that can fabricate triple-width blank
panels? The only one that I know of that sells them is Modusonics
(MCE) - but they want $80 each!

Great to be here. Thanks Larry for starting this up.

Re: dotcom switches

Howdy --

This is a question for Larry or anyone else who knows.

Does anyone have a part number for the dotcom toggle switches? I have
a Mouser account, so hope I can get near-exact replacements through
them. I need DPDT toggles in the dotcom style to retrofit my
Moogerfooger MF-101 into a new panel (see below.)

I got my stooge panels from Larry, and they came out great!
I had a custom dotcom-style panel made up, for my Doepfer ribbon
controller, and also for my Moogerfooger Lo-Pass filter.
Now, to drill them out, and move the electronics over...

Cheers,

 - Dana

Dana--

I know this isn't directly answering your question, but for MOTM these are the switches that are
used which Allied and many others carry:

SPDT - NKK #M2102ES1W01
SPDT center off - NKK #M2103ES1W01
DPDT - NKK #M2022ES1W01
DPDT center off - NKK M2023ES1W01

Extracted from http://www.hotrodmotm.com.

Did you try looking at the switches on the panels you already have? If that fails, I am sure
Roger would be glad to help you out.

Is Roger going to join the list BTW?

Cheers!
Todd

Dotcom panels - WAS: dotcom switches

For those wondering if they were ever going to get their panels, the
light is at the end of the tunnel. We had over 85 people order about
350 panels. About 55 of those orders have been shipped. Most of the
ones left require drilling. I have all the remaining Dot Com format
panels. I plan to drill and pack this weekend and get these out the
door. I will be going through the list thie morning as I believe I
still need some "drilling" instructions from some.

Best,
Stooge Larry
(home of the very nice, and slow, Stooge panels)

Thanks, Todd.
I ordered some DPDT NKK Toggle Switches from Mouser, so
hopefully I got the right ones coming....

Cheers,

 - Dana

P.S. I'm sure Roger is enjoying a "newsgroup-free" life now.
You can always e-mail him the usual way. He's very good about
answering mail. You're right -- I should have just asked him
about the switches... oh, well!

New Dot Com panel photos

2004-10-03 by Larry Hendry

I just posted a couple of unlinked photos at my website of two of the
three new panel designs we recently sold. The balance of which are
all shipping early next week (most on Monday).

The Time Machine has a little rash around the screw holes because the
person sent me a panel to use which had already been screwed into his
cabinet.

Here are the links:

The NKK switches are a litte jump up in build quality over the ones
used in the dot com modules I used to have. They are amoung the best
in this minature toggle format. And their price reflects it. :-)

Not mine. :-(

Yep. If I buy 100 of them at ~$10 each!
