Re: [elektron] Midi-ox sysex settings

2004-10-25 by Joe Simon

Hi Heidi,

Interesting. I posted a similar issue a while back. I'm having the same problem with sysex_librarian under Mac osx. But, I have no problem with Midiox under XP. I too, have a gig of RAM on my XP box. Under osx, I get error type 1 (length error) on about 2 sysex records, when I do the md verify on the entire ram dump.

So, I use the XP box for the total dump, and the mac g4 for smaller pattern+kit dumps. All my production work is done on the g4, having to switch back and forth is a pain.

I'm not at my machine, but I'll try and get my Midiox settings when I get home tonight.

What midi interface are you using?

Best regards,

Joe

Hi everyone,

I'm unsure whether this has been mentioned before - but I can't seem
to find any information about it. I'm having trouble dumping sysex
from my machinedrum - I think it may be a buffer issue - can someone
tell me what these settings should be set to in MIDI-OX?

Also I've been trying to dump everything at once (total dump) and I'm
finding that my PC is struggling to keep up in terms of memory etc
(although I have 1gig memory)? Is it possible that it is simply too
much for my PC to receive a full dump and I have to split it into the
pattern/kit dumps?

Please help

thanks

heidi
