Re: [elektron] Midi-ox sysex settings

2004-10-26 by gigolo_heidi

I'm just using a Edirol um-1 (1-in/1-out)... I don't really use a
computer too much in production - only for post-production and sample
editing, so i don't really have too much experience in midi-ing up the
computer - although i have no trouble with most things...

I can use the PC to update my access virus etc. although this uses
.mid files rather than .syx - It's just the machinedrum which is
causing me grief. The PC has 1 gig ram too - but if you monitor the
performance in the task manager as you are trying to dump the
machinedrum to the PC you can see the memory usage growing rapidly up
to 800 meg sometimes - which seems very wrong to me.

Any midi-ox setting you can give me would be great - it sounds like
our pc's are roughly the same in terms of configuration...

thanks

Heidi

same problem with sysex_librarian under Mac osx. But, I have no
problem with Midiox under XP. I too, have a gig of RAM on my XP box.
Under osx, I get error type 1 (length error) on about 2 sysex
records, when I do the md verify on the entire ram dump.

to switch back and forth is a pain.
