I own a SidStation and it is a real support for my studio. I wouldn't count on it as you main sound source because it is so special and unique it simply can add the touch and flavor to an existing setup. it does wonders in a mix!! for instance i had a mix that i replaced the low end bass drone with a pulsy wobbly kind of bass sound in the sidstation and the mix became alive like a volcano!! the 8Bit sound is really punchy gritty and cuts through a mix like a knife in soft butter. As I said before if you don't have any sound modules or keyboards in your setup...depending primarily on the Station will force your songs to sound like C64 tunes (which isn't bad if that's what you want) plus don't forget that it is not multitimbral so you'd have to dub audio tracks with little regret in an audio sequencer or something. hope this helps EItan Teomi Eitan Teomi http://ourworld.cs.com/teomi [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
