Well I was thinking the same layout of the Access Virus Indigo/TI here. Both have 37 keys. The joystick would take the place of where the mod wheels on the Virus are placed, with the main unit dead center. Shouldn't be any bigger than that. But if I remember correctly from the SoundonSound article, Elektron were tired of this layout and thought it'd be cool to allow two people to play the SFX6 simultaneously. One playing the keyboard, while one tweaks the controls.
