those types of hardware are all cheap commodities with very standard
software interfaces. for most people, the cost of the elektron gear
(especially the sfx-6) is already prohibitively high. actually, though
we all know they are quite nice, the cost of the MD is prohibitive for
a drum machine... as cool as it is, the first and last thing people
always seem to get back to on the elektron hardware is the premium
price.
so the point being, a premium/generally prohibitive pricetag would be
expected anyway. i'd love for you to be wrong also so we could all
hear a lot more early 90s vocal samples dropped all over the place on
every song.
