I can't reach the website.

Maybe they're updating their page with product announcements for a Hardware Sampler, Hardware Sequencer, and stand alone MIDI Joystick. hey, we can dream, cant we?:) -m On Feb 10, 2005, at 9:42 AM, Federico Ciapi wrote: > I can't reach the website. > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Elektron should come out with a 8/12-bit sampler now, like right now!

I was just thinking today, it's ideal for me so it probably wouldn't happen. A firewire sequencer/audio/midi interface with live record capabilities with a built in sampler/synth engine. Something that would sit nicely between the mpc1000 and the virus TI, but with firewire!!! A joystick and faders would be nice too. I'd pay for that. --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Andy Tarpinian <evildead@n...> wrote:

If they have something under the hood (which I hope they have)(but I don't know), I'd look forward around the Frankfurt Musikmesse dates… Makes more sense as they couldn't make the NAMM show for it. I'd really like to see a sampler from them, on the other hand, hardware samplers are just dying now… :-/ which I think is a shame. A lo-fi sampler with a twist, something out of production for years… Maybe I should go to cuddle with my ex Tim Simenon's E-mu (I've got proof)(I'm not going fetish on it either) Denis =G) Adopt a hardware sampler, it will love you.

as much as i'd love to see one, i suspect that a sampler
would probably kill the company. it'd call for all sorts of
new hardware {memory, disk, usb/fw/scsi, whatever} to make
it worth using, and i reckon the price would be
prohibitively high in order to make back the money sunk
into r&d.
i could be wrong, of course. hell, i'd love to be wrong.

those types of hardware are all cheap commodities with very standard software interfaces. for most people, the cost of the elektron gear (especially the sfx-6) is already prohibitively high. actually, though we all know they are quite nice, the cost of the MD is prohibitive for a drum machine... as cool as it is, the first and last thing people always seem to get back to on the elektron hardware is the premium price. so the point being, a premium/generally prohibitive pricetag would be expected anyway. i'd love for you to be wrong also so we could all hear a lot more early 90s vocal samples dropped all over the place on every song. think about it.

Hmmm.... an Elektron Sampler? Think about the Korg ES-1 / ESX-1 Electribes. I'd think that they would look at doing the same kind of thing with their sampler... ie: building on the already established model of either the MnM or MD as the base unit, and having it as a step sampler..... Would I buy one? I seriously doubt it... I've got an RS7000 that can take care of all my sampling and step sequencing duties for me anyway.... Also, money is always an issue with Elektron gear and honestly, if they lowered their prices a bit they would prrobably sell more units? I'm def intrested in a MnM SFX-60, but that price tag is bloody hig over in Australia. Best, Rusty

Well, if price would something like MD is now, I would buy it. I would love to have sampler with elektron sequencer. It could be a beatsampler, since with polyphony and complex sampler programs dont with so well with elektron sequencer. If they would do it, they would certainly do it some other way then others before (just look at Md; different kind of drummachine or Monomachine; different from the rest of the monosynths). They could have some cool ideas... Toni.

I'd be interested in the Monomachine. What price range were you looking for? Interested in both or maybe just the SFX-60. How much are you looking for.
