buy it and get a cheap key board. if you don't like it you can sell it at 
pretty much the same value cause eventually these things (ss) are going to be 
extinct. You are also going to need a drum machine and some sort of sequencer 
to get started. and later down the line a sampler.  Those are the basics. If 
you are serious about getting in to music invest in the instruments you want 
cause some where down the road your going to wish you had if you didn't. 
Don't worry about not knowing  things like midi and all the other crap, 
you'll learn.
