Have you upgraded the ss to the latest os 1.1? I use the rm1x to control my 
sid, and had no problems. I think you are having timing problems cause you 
use the Mobius as the Sid master. the Yamaha sends way better midi data. 
Every time I use my future retro as a master I have timing problems.
