my biggest and most unrealistic elektron wish would be a
total rewrite, so that each track {esp on the MD} is a midi
channel, and individual track patterns {motifs, in quasimidi
terms} could be swapped on the fly. this is how the
quasimidi 309 implemented it (as quasimidi did with most of
their synths}, as did e-mu for their command stations.

it's a hell of a lot more flexible, and certainly better for
playing/sequencing on the fly.

but i realise that that's pie in the sky stuff. i sold the
MD because its MIDI and sequencer implementation didn't
agree with me, but bought one again because it sounds so
damned great. sequencer and MIDI be damned, it's still the
last word in percussion synthesis*, in my book. take me
back, elektron, i've learned my lesson! i love you more
than ever!

* admittedly, i've never used the wavedrum ;)

aleph null. a simple insinuation around silence.
