Sorry, but if a piece of gear costs say $500 to produce then one won't
sell it cheaper. Investors and such are not fond of companies selling
stuff cheaper than the cost to produce them (included wages, taxes,
new hardware and so on).
And nothing has been said about the price yet. Rumours is what you are
talking about. Please wait and see. If you can't afford it then let it
be.
Elektron are not obliged to provide cheap stuff. They are a small
company, the number of machines they sell of a particular product
isn't as high as those of Korg/Yamaha/Roland. That means more
expensive products.
