Hi, I know this has been mentioned before in the past, and that Elektron provided many good reasons why it's a very serious decision for a synth manufacturer to consider, but does anyone have any new thoughts on a Sidstation OS update? According to the usergroup archives, various people have their own requests for a Sidstation update, and my preference (read craving) would be the ability to address the oscillators separately on different MIDI channels - I feel this would not only open up the potential of the machine hugely, but that it would further invigorate users' passion for writing pure sidtracks like back in the day, without having to use an emulator or a real C64 to create a .sid file, to then play through ASid. I wouldn't have brought this up yet *again*, but with the new influx of Sidstation owners that will undoubtedly hit this community thanks to Elektron's recent chip discovery and production spurt, I think it's time for some debate on this and for people to think again about what it is they think would be a really worthwhile addition to the Sidstation's software- adjustable capabilities. So would this even be possible via an OS update - separate oscillator addressing? Do people still want, as they've mentioned inthe past, a 'test trigger' button, for listening to patches while programming with just a pair of headphones, away from the mixing desk? Anything we haven't heard before? Thanks everyone:) Bren
