Re: [ MD restarts over & over

2005-05-04 by finite_sf

I am glad that I could pass on my findings to you and to the group. I
know that if I ever thake my act on the road I am going to have to do
the same, as in have a device that is devoted to outputing clean
power. I don't know all the ins and outs of the device... and how it
deals with a voltage drop. I would assume it has a bunch of capasitors
that deliver a stable voltage. Kinda like a mini UPS.

Your theory is not far off... the sub could have caused a drop in the
voltage and this caused the MD to reboot. I can tell you that the MD
is a very picky box... it demands a clean power line. Back at my old
place my MD would reboot every 30 minutes or so. Which was a direct
result of the fridge switching on.
