I was there!  :-)  I drove six hours to see it (plus two hours of philly
traffic) and it was well worth it.  the Philly crowd was weird;  was your
friend one of the hundreds of people that left halfway through ae's set? 
I don't get that...but whatever.  the first half was pretty danceable, the
second started to get more and more out there.  by the end it was a total
headfuck and I have no idea how they did it with the MD/MnM (and I know
those machines inside and out, literally).  so maybe the people who
thought it was lame/boring were the ones that would have liked the second
half, but left before they could experience it...

the funny thing is that every time Shawn would grab the retrig param and
tweak it, people cheered and went apeshit.  so they should have just done
that for hours and people would have loved them! :-)
