Since the issue is on the tracks again, no pun intended, I had a question for whoever may answer : I don't know much about synthesis, and I think it's been told what kind of synthesis the machine drum will use, still, I don't know what it means at all. The thing I think that all drum machines I know are disapointing for, or not as fun as one (= I,hehe...)can expect is the fact that the basic sounds (samples, templates, whatever you might call it) are pre-recorded ones. You can't build a sound out of the blue, the way you can do it on an analog-like synth, where you can push a key and no sound would come out of it until you've tweaked an oscilator or filter, starting with the basic bleep and turn it into something else, a pure electronic bleep. You know what I mean. So the question is : Will the MD have this kind of synthesis or does it come with basic sounds, like pre-recorded ones or something, some one can clearly identify, or some that have been worked on already and you can't go under the level it's been worked to (example : get one of your sidstation patches, you can burn it down to the root of it, like to a square wave or a sine. Start with an blank one is the same. The pure wave is free of everything, it's pure electricity (or so it feels to me...)Doesn't sound like anything but a wave.)You know ? Get a noise wave and turn it into a snare with many parameters. Can we do that on the MachineDrum ? Anyone ? Anyone ? Virgile- THanks-
