You can actually access ALL parameters via midi CC. Which means that you could easily patch your own control surface in say Reaktor or Clavia G2 (as I have done) if you don't build the full control surface(step C). Step A (with minimal knobs and display) works great in itself - even better if you hook it up to a midi controller or computer editor!
