Hey, I joined the list because Elektron is doing an incredible job of viral marketing! I don't have one (yet) but so many of you guys have said, "Machinedrum it's the One" that I just have to do some more digging. So... my question... or should I say questions. First, why do you love your Elektron SO damn much? The samples on the site are... cool, but they don't seem to reflect the rabid nature of the Machinedrum fans. You kids have any links of stuff you've done with it? I'd love to hear more. Second, I have plenty of hardware sequencers and actually I'm planning on shelving them because I just can't do the type of quick construction/editing that I can using software (I'm comparing using a Korg Electribe ESX-1 or a E-MU XL-7 to sequencing in Mark Of The Unicorn's Digital Performer 4)... or can I? I keep hearing the Machinedrum is such a joy to work with. I'd love features like real time swing/shuffle feedback. Does it do that? What's song construction like? My Electribe and Command Station are great for making quick multibar loops, but when I try to put them into a traditional song structure I find it very awkward. So would it be better for me to get the Monomachine? Machinedrum? I have a few synths that I love, like an Access Virus C, Korg Wavestation and a Roland SH-32. I'm listening to the Monomachine now and it seems like that may be more my style since I don't need another drum machine... can the Monomachine do Machinedrum sounds? thanks, Mark
