I hear you on on how the limitations can trigger your creativity and your will to dig deeper, actually I think this was one reasons why I always found the MD a challenging machine. But I think this has nothing to do with the number of slots you have and really there's the same logic in renaming 64 or 32 slots. With time, you memorize them all specially if you organize them in an orderly manner (useful when you switch kits) I really think this would be useful for most of us, and would avoid having to burn several samples "packed" into one as we're doing atm. What you think?
