Just ordered MD-UW. Can't wait. But now I need a USB-MIDI interface. I hate using computers to write music, so I intend to use the interface for exactly two purposes: 1. loading samples into the UW via C6. 2. Backing up contents of UW (and possibly other gear) also via C6. I don't care about MIDI timing or anything else, I just want something that can perform these two functions flawlessly --- in other words I need Closed-Loop MIDI transfer to work. Can I solicit your expert opinions? What do you use, and does it work? Which cheap and simple USB MIDI interface is the best? Should I avoid any of the following: - M-AUDIO MIDISport Uno. 50 Euros. Widely used, but other M-AUDIO gear is shit. - ESI MIDIMate. 35 Euros. Korean company. Recent product. Anyone used this? - Yamaha UX16. 55 Euros. - Edirol UM1X. 50 Euros. I have Mac OS X and WIndows XP at my disposal. Thanks people :: kkonkkrete :: By the way anyone noticed why it's called C6 ? SysEx with a Swedish accent, right ;-)
