I use MOTU Fastlanes in win2k and osx, they're cheap and I don't usually 
have problems.
I've got an ESI Waveterminal card with MIDI daughtercard and the timing 
is rock solid, that doesn't say anything about their USB product but I 
do trust the quality of the two products I've purchased from ESI.
