Can MD control all midi

Hello guys. Amongst my set-up I have a MD as well as EMU proteus world 
sounds percussion synth. Is it possible to plug the MD into the EMU 
and have MD play its own patterns but using the EMU's sounds? Infact, 
can the MD control any other syths in playing back in real time over 
16 channels?
