OK, this explains some things. Somehow you must have routed the OUT of the SidStation back into the IN. This also explains the strange crashes, as the SidStation doesn't like to receive at the same time as it sends - even though it does it's best (as you could see from your example). Perhaps you use some MIDI interface/router that could do this without your knowledge?
