Dont have an MD but mono... What i think you must do is to assign your md to both 
master and a subgroup on your mixer and use the compressor in the bus-insert, and 
smack the helloutofthebuss and mix the toghter, that way you get transisents preserved 
and really heavy compressed mixed togheter.... only use a analog compressor due to 
phaseproblems with digital....
