Or get a nice Pioneer or Allen & Heath Mixer that has a midi clock and run you master sync off the mixer. :) -----Original Message----- From: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com [mailto:elektron-users@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of innerclock2004 Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 3:53 PM To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com Subject: [elektron] Re: Machinedrum ext sync... Hiya, Even though technically both units should follow song position - because Midi Clock is 24 ppq and you are hardware slaving from Live - there is always the chance that you will lose midi clocks here and there leading to odd/erratic sync in your hardware. Unless you are certain of the stability of your PC midi sync out - you might be better off slaving Live to either one of your Elektron boxes which have ultra-reliable clocking. Also - are you using a thru box for the sync or are you daisy chaining. Daisy chaining sync is a sure fire way to cause problems. Get a powered thru box. Run your master sync into the input and run all your slaves off the 'Thrus'. Hope this helps. David www.innerclocksystems.com Yahoo! Groups Links
