Re: [elektron] bug in the machine... literally!

2007-02-21 by Jesse

Warranty, pshaw!

Good news is it is possible to remove the bug, bad news is it requires you to remove the front panel (faceplate). The Cover is glued to the faceplate whereas the LCD is surface mounted to the first board inside your MD. So basically if u remove all your knobs and unscrew the faceplate it comes right off and the bug will be sitting on top of the first circuit board.

Warning!!: Removing your front knobs is very hard and may break an encoder... I recommend if you decide to do this you remove them with equal force on all sides, so use a tool preferably over your hands...

Anyone else have any ideas??

  HELP!
There's a freaking bug inside my Machinedrum LCD cover. What's the best
way to remove that asshole from there without damaging the machine? And
  will it void any warranty?
