So, I've been trying to upgrade my OS for the last two hours. I'm not the most MIDI savvy, do I need an IN and OUT to upgrade my OS? As it is now the USB to MIDI adapter I ordered doesn't work, it's recognized by my SYSEX programs and the drivers are supposed to be working but it won't transmit data.
I've resorted to using my M-Audio Triggerfinger with its one MIDI OUT. This seems to work a little bit, but still has yet to finish an install. I had one fault message during an attempt, but most of the time the LEDs go through their series and then the machine seems to be frozen. Sometimes my PC freezes too.
This is a pain in the A*S and I really want to be able to save my samples. Can somebody help me out with this?
How long should it take to upgrade? A half hour seems to be the longest I've waited.
