no, there's no clean up as the MD adapter sends AC to the MD instead  
of DC which would clean a little. The adapter is non standard (9v 2.5  
A AC if I remember well) but stand as a standard for a common  
development board. I've never understood why Elektron did not clean up  
its design to use the usual adapters. Theirs is of high quality but  
the powering design a a flaw unfortunately.

that's the (good) little studio solution I thought of, a good rack to  
own especially if you move around for live stuff.

yup :-/
Now it was their first product and everyone makes mistakes (on the  
designs I worked on, we also did mistakes), it's a non lethal one once  
you know.
