We'll see how much time I have. I'd rather include that in a later version and get a working "Bare-bones" editor out to people first though. Other notes: Yes it will be Open Source, although because it's going to be a Win32 app, it will use the winmm MIDI functions and MFC, so whoever ports it will have to redo the interface and MIDI functionality. There will be knobs for parameters we'd all like to tweak, like resonance. I'd like to shove as many knobs as possible on screen, actually. I plan on having the actual values of the knobs display in the window toolbar, as well as having an optional onmouseover info popup. I probably will not do any digitization or speech synthesis attempts or even research in the near future. I'll have to look at the ASID interface, as that may be a better way of directly controlling the chip for speech stuff, but that's a ways off. With luck, I'll have the raw MIDI interface stuff done by next week, and the GUI should be the next hardest part. Everything else is just going to be data pushing and debugging. :) Thanks for the feedback and interest. -pjf
