I totally agree! Then add the possibility to define which parameters
within the drumkit that the eight knobs would control, this could
either be per pattern och per kit. Instant tweaking of your eight
favourite parameters!

In song mode you can now (v 1.10 of the OS) record a mute mask for
each row in a song. Combine this with the feature of infinite loops,
and loopswitching that is mentioned (too) briefly in the manual (for
version 1.00 of the OS) on page 44.

Has anyone tried out this feature with loops in songs, especially for
live usage? How hard is it to switch between loops? From what I've
gathered from the manual, I think I'd prefer to use the 16 lower
buttons to switch between the loops.

Hmm... what's wrong with the LFOs? 

I use them quite a lot, one neat trick is to use external audio
sources and then auto pan the with a triangle LFO.
