Elektron Musical Instruments

Hello, I will be getting a M.D. at the end of this month this well be 
my first piece of kit that I would own, I also want to get a access 
virus this month, but I need to know if the M.D. can be used as a 
controller for the access virus rack, can M.D. sequence the sound's 
from the rack virus as if it were a sound from the M.D., or well I 
have to get a keyboard controller like the oxygen 8 midi controller. 
some info would be nice on how is the best way to use the M.D. with 
access virus with no computer.. I'm new to all this so I just don't 
know, well thank's in advance for any info..
