SIDstation is very picky about power... the external power supply is supposed to be 6 volts, which is regulated down to 5 volts for SID chip use. In order for the voltage regulator to work properly, voltage must not drop below about 5.75 volts. I've had a hell of a time finding an appropriate 6 volt power supply here in the US -- I'm in the process of making my own. For the future, I think Elektron would be wise to thermally couple the regulator to the case (aluminum is a great heat conductor) and reccomend driving the SIDStation with 9v rather than 6v to give more breathing room.
