The bandwidth of the SID is actually quite high. 

There is one 12-bit D/A for each voice running
at 1 MHz.  The details of the output filtering, especially
in the Sidstation are unknown.    
Each is multiplied with an 8-bit envelope.
All signals then summed in the analog domain.

p.s.  RCA connz are terrible.  they wear out and generally
can't be repaired.  In many cases the gear is next to useless
unless an identical match for the many variations RCA connectors
(e.g. 3x2, 4x2, etc) can be found in the proper size.  

Also bad is when connectors (of any type) are attached to PCB's.  Solder 
joints are NOT intended to withstand the mechanical 
strength of insertion.  

Both of these common defects lead to useless gear, which is 
uneconomical, unecological, inconvenient and just plain sucks.  

In this day and age, the only conscionable thing to do is
use panel-mounted 1/4" hardware, whose jacks and cables
can be easily and inexpensively repaired with minimal skill.
