Elektron Musical Instruments

Hello humans.....
   I'm using a machinedrum right now on it's own, but am soon to 
be aquiring an akai MPC, from which I'll sequence the MD.
What I'm wondering is how well the MD functions in this regard. 
First off, how does it react to velocity? I didn't even see it 
mentioned on the MIDI implementation chart--Does it respond at 
all?
   Secondly, How does the MD channelize note on information? I 
notice it's split the 16 parts over 4 midi channels......Does that 
mean I couldn't trigger machines 1 and, say machine 12 from 
the same sequencer track, or does the MD split the incoming 
data? I'm hoping to be able to play the entire kit from the pads 
and record it to one track..... is this possible?
    I'm interested in hearing of peoples experiences in controlling 
the machinedrum from external sequencers ....Let me know how 
it works for you!......
