Ok. I know that Erase can beatmix without problem. He chose not to. Why? This is my guess. Playing records from several genres, for non-dancing purposes. Ok, first of all: I don't want to insult Erase or you. And I admit I can only comment based on this ONE performance. But, it seemed to me most of is set was electro (danceable stuff too), all at around the same speed. Not impossible to mix, but that's just me. If he can beat mix and chose not to, that's his mistake, specially when this is going around the world for all to hear and is probably his only calling cardto many people. What if I'm a promoter here in NY looking to do an Elektron party and this set is the ONLY thing I have of him? You think I'd pay him to fly down here or would I pay instead for Zombie Nation's kick ass set? More > important to create a mood than get people up and > dancing. Bad mixing gets me in a fowl mood!!!! A good > selection of music is much more important than > perfect technical > skills. I think you need BOTH. > So, what makes a good DJ? People enjoying the music > she/he plays. Anyone can put records one after the other and if the tunes are right people will enjoy the music. It does not mean she/he is a "DJ". At least not a proffessional one. Again!!!! Much respect. He might really be a super Dj, and was playing without monitors, or 1000 other reasons. I certainly do not want to offend anybody, but gave an opinion on what I heard (and is something that bothers me, BAD Djing). Sr M __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
