Make SURE you pay attention to the instructions during the "wizard"--I
didn't, sent off a grumbling letter to Elektron about "wizards", then
noticed what I had missed (only after removing all my physical MIDI
interfaces but my SB-Live!)--

Connect your PC's MIDI IN to the Sid's MIDI THRU, *NOT* the Sid's MIDI
OUT.

I.e. your PC's MIDI OUT should go to the Sid's MIDI IN, and your PC's MIDI
IN should come from the Sid's MIDI THRU.

After I noticed this, I ran the upgrade wizard and it worked fine.
