Elektron Musical Instruments

Just to let everyone know that the new OS is now available for
download from Elektron. Hurrah!

Have you actually managed to install it, I seem to be having problems -
tries 3 midi interfaces.
But I'm mostprobably doing something stupid. Yes, sequencer and midi
communication fine - I can see the midi is received at the machine but it
doesn't respond.

Make SURE you pay attention to the instructions during the "wizard"--I
didn't, sent off a grumbling letter to Elektron about "wizards", then
noticed what I had missed (only after removing all my physical MIDI
interfaces but my SB-Live!)--

Connect your PC's MIDI IN to the Sid's MIDI THRU, *NOT* the Sid's MIDI
OUT.

I.e. your PC's MIDI OUT should go to the Sid's MIDI IN, and your PC's MIDI
IN should come from the Sid's MIDI THRU.

After I noticed this, I ran the upgrade wizard and it worked fine.

Any chance sysex dumps could be provide for those of us who don't run
windows?  Or heck, even a ROM image -- I have access to ROM / flash
burners at work...

I am especially excited about:

* MIDI-clock instability cured. Should now work flawless with all 
  different sequencers and synthesizers.

this has been a big showstopper for me...
