Elektron Musical Instruments

Is there another way that I can access the new os. I
don't own a pc, but my girlfriend does. would I have
to jus t buy a midi interface for it? And also will
that allow me to download the new os into my sid
station?

Just to echo Aaron - an update other platforms (eg harware or Mac OS) would
be nice, although i guess I can borrow a PC for the update.

On another note - I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a (hopefully cheap)
hardware unit to backup sidstation patches. My unit has taken to
arbitrarily resetting, mostly it comes straight back on (mildly annoying -
esp when during a performance) but sometimes it just dies altogether...i
really want to take some of these sounds out on gigs, but of course i can't
have a computer handy to restore patches when they die during a show. Even
something 2nd hand i can look out for would be good - it only needs to be
simple.
