Using the MD's 2 audio inputs, you tweek around with live sound coming from things like syths, samplers, other drum machines, acoustic instruments (like violin, cello, flute, guitar, etc.), or even live vocals (this sounds especially good when chopping them up on the MD's sequencer and applying delay and reverb). Also, the XOX sequencer interface is perfect for live sequencing; you can instantly edit a pattern DURING a performance!
