Yes, I have this as well.  The screen contrast also seems to fluctuate
when a lot of LEDs are lit or are flashing - for instance, during
playback when a lot of tracks are triggering or when in MUTE view.

Since turning up the contrast up some (see my previous post about
removing the MD knobs) this has gotten a little better, but still
occurs.
