Having a step sequencer with tick resolution would be incredibly hardcore/impractical... To get the effect your after set the feedback in the delay unit to 0 and the delay time to a small amount, adjust the delay level to suit, this will give you the kind of effect your looking for. Add some modulation to give you chorus/flanger effects. The greatest resolution on the machinedrum can be achieved by setting the pattern length to 32 and then doubling or trippling (either just by setting the tempo to twice the amount and or if not in range using the tempo doubler) your tempo. This leaves you with one bar of 64th notes. polyhex >From: "otison <otison@...>" <otison@...> >Reply-To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com >To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com >Subject: [elektron] Re: time offset >Date: Thu, 23 Jan 2003 15:33:09 -0000 > > > > I did post some suggestion about OS improvement re: a time offset > > > parameter per machine, but it does not seem to be of any kind of > > > interest for you guys ? > > > > > > > I don't like the feature you're asking for. > >well then may I politely suggest that you don't understand what >sequencing is all about ? > >here is my initial post just for your record > >************************ > >hi all, I wanted to ask you guys how you feel >about this improvement of the MachineDrum OS : > >I would like each sequencer's track to feature >a time offset parameter. >One feature I use a lot on Cubase SX is the >"time-offset" parameter. example, by layering >2 different (or similar) hihats and offsetting >one of them (ie having one of them playing just >a few ticks before or after the other), you can >create haas-effected hi-hat sounds , and this >cuts through the mix much better !! > >not to mention the ability to alter a groove >quite radically and in a different way to the one >that uses classic shuffle x0x style. > >Just an idea.. and it seems that the MD does not >allow you to do that - except on E12 machine, >it looks like you can fiddle around on >the STRT parameter... but still I would love >to see that implemented on each track/machine > >Olivier > > _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch with MSN Messenger http://messenger.msn.co.uk
