On the randomize function: If you're running Mac OS X, you can already do 
this! I wrote an app for randomizing machinedrum's parameters a while ago 
(you can download it from the Files section of this site). It even allows you to 
select which parameters you want to randomize and which you want to leave 
alone. I've been working on a new version of the app on and off for several 
months now, but I've been really busy with school, so I can't give you a 
definite date for release. Although the old version lacks some a bunch of cool 
new features and a streamlined interface, it's bug free and still very useful! 
Download it if you have a Mac :)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
