It depends of the country where you are. In France they have a distributor (I work at it ;) I don't know for the others. And sure they must know there's no more MD in stock for weeks. It's rather evident that they'd like to have some for sale all the time. Myself I find this rather reassuring. Better that than overstocks sleeping even if it can be really frustrating for putative buyers.
