Re: [elektron] Re: SIDSTATION - waste of money

2003-05-03 by Hi There

U think I'm a newbie ah...? WRONG! The thing is u can use a bit from everything too get a good mix. But MD his sound doesn't convince me to buy it.mmm..nono That's why I also said about samples on the net, wich is something that I also rarely make use of.People are buying gear like MD to get new inspiration, wich is also good in one way, but the sound ? Not 4 me. But that has to be everybodys choice, and if u like to pay such a lot of money for it to get inspired, than go for it. Too many people has to much gear that they also use for half of there capacity that it contains, and to get what they want out of it, without the need from the marketing guys who overhype new "Machines".YOU ARE THE MACHINE, YOU ARE THE CREATOR, you don't needall that stuf to buy everytime, they got you in yur pocket ;O) There are sample CD librarias that costs 10 times the MD or a SID station and wich are worth every penny. And "Samples" from the net can be sometimes a solution for what you are looking for and don't find in your collection in a production at a time. But the clue of the story is" BE INVENTIVE" and not a slave form synthdrumgrooveboxevrytwomonthsout4anewVISAcard management.I'm not trying to be your enemy, only to open some peoples eyes! **PEACE**

Why are we trying to convince someone who thinks
samples from the net are as good as the MD ?
He didnt find a place for the sidStation in his music,

What an interesting conversation...

You know what, Ive got a really good CD collection at home and so I
seriously
consider to sell all my too expensive music making gear, can't be bothered
with all that programming stuff, and all the samples as well, imagine all
the
effort to download every single one... and then arranging, pfff...
I'll just put in a cd and ready is da music - smart as me, ay!
