Re: [elektron] OS 1.12b crashes or not ?

2003-05-08 by simon leclerc

I intended to use the MD live.
I spend a lot more money because
i prefer hardware and they are *usually*
more stable.
The more i dive in to the MD adventure,
the more Waldorf Attack, Ableton Live and
a laptop look attractive.

I so wish i'm wrong on this one...

I have turned my MD on only last night, but I don't spend hours on it.
Usually about three hours every ohter day on average. I don't get a
total crash but sometimes things like the 16 buttons on the bottom
dont work.
Once I tried to go to mute mode and it wouldn't. But I could trigger
the sounds with the buttons. The mute lights didn't go on. Other
times I couldn't change between patterns. I'd press the bank letter
and the bank lights wouldn't light and it couldn't change to another
bank. So it seems to be with the bank letters and the 16 lights some
kind of system miscommunication.
Maybe it's a buffer thing. It has happened after alot of live
programming and alot of action on the MD as of sequencing. This is
while using all types of machines from the drums to inputs to midi
machines. Really pushing the limits.
I have not installed the b version. By the way, I went to the
elektron site and didn't see the b version there last night.
