The SIDStation is a wonderful machine, but I heard you mention the
Waldorf XT. Well, the wavetables in the SID are COMPLETELY different
than those in the XT.

Waldorf has good products. Personally, I love their original Waldorf
Microwave I the most. It has more punch than the XT. As for the Q...
it's a synth "without balls". I know I'm insulting people now, but many
studios consult me before buying equipment and we've done extensive
tests between lots of analogs and virtual analogs and the Q was one of
the worst! And the price-tag is huge! The new vocoder is very nice
though and MUCH better than the one on the Virus. But then, the new
vocoder on the Supernova II is also great, and the SN II's overall sound
has more character than the Q. So, I definitely dislike the Q... the
only thing about it that I like it its design: the blue Q is in my
opinion one of the most beaufitul synths ever, but that's taste of
course.

Who knows... :-)
But hey, you already get a lot of features for your money... and
possibly the best LFO section in any synth + you get a synth with
character and a very distinctive sound. Damned, you just made me feel
like tweaking this lovely SidStation again... and again.... and again...
:-)))

Ciao,
Joeri
