I'm not too sold on virtual analogue .. i get tired of these same sounds. Most of the DSPs are kinda weak too .. however i must say i'm in love with my nord micro, purely because of the audio inputs and the softsynth style of patch building. Nothing worse than hearing stepping on these virtual filters (those grooveboxes are guilty!) :( check out www.frostwave.com .. this guys lives around the corner here. I have his first edition hand built ms20 style filter box, and it's really meaty.. (if you want authentic no stepping analogue sweeps) .. new model is CV controlled, there's a nice CV converter too .. high voltage for monopoly etc.. > but hey...sids getting a little restless in the backround..placing an order > for the sid tommorrow....the wavetable i've looked into...seems great for > strange effects and stuff...unusual arps etc...and some of the lead sounds > sound hair raising on the demp page of the website...! :) hair raising yes. It'll penetrate any mix, and the sound is full of these great anomalies that are quite odd, and occur at the best of times for mixes that are indeed unique also! The wavetable is sorta like a sequence, that changes each step .. to a different waveform etc. If you can imagine this, you know what it sounds like .. andrew
