I'll agree with you on this one, I find the Sidstation very easy to  
program.  That's not to say I wouldn't like to see an editor released  
for it as that
would probably come in handy as well.  More tools is always better.   
I'd love to write one for OSX but I've never down midi program on it  
and I don't have the time to learn it.  I imagine slapping one together  
with Max/MSP wouldn't be hard...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
