I don't know about "auto" save... see, if you are editing a pattern, then you're in record mode. so all changes made during that mode are saved. what it *does* do that's nice is if you are editing sounds of a given kit, it will save them between a restart. so you can edit a kit, turn the machine off then turn it back on and continue editing without having to save anything (because maybe you're not completely happy with a sound yet). but as soon as you load another kit (or pattern), the edited non-saved kit setting will be gone. I hope you figure out a way to get it; it's a terrific machine :-) Joe.
